Bahrain telecoms regulator appoints new comms director
Alan Horne: New appointment will help TRA fullfil its duties
Basil Al-Arrayed is to join the Bahrain Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.
In his new role with TRA, he will be resposible for the communications and the coansumer affairs functions.
Al-Arrayed has a Degree in Pulblic relations and Mass Communications and over a decade of experience in the sector.
This appointment for TRA comes at an important stage in the development of teleocmmunications in Bahrain with much of the legislation is either in place or at an advanced stage in creating the environment for competitive telecommunciations.
TRA's general director Alan Horne commented said: "Basil brings to TRA a range of experience, having worked in the media in his early career followed by his time with Batelco and more recently in JWT Advertising, where he structured the strategic framework for through-the-line marketing of Zain, as well as handled the public relations of a major bank."
