WELCOME TO THE Gold Standard Awards website. The first of their kind in Asia, the awards recognise excellence in the fields of public affairs, government relations and corporate communications.

The awards, operated by PublicAffairsAsia, showcase best-practice among public affairs and public policy professionals. We secured over 90 entries across a wide range of categories - and we were proud to present the awards at an invitation-only cocktail reception in the main dining room at the Foreign Correspondents Club of Hong Kong on February 4, 2010. The event proved to be a great opportunity for top-level practitioners to come together, and we will follow this up with a series of roundtable events throughout the region.

The Gold Standard Awards have already become the benchmark for excellence in public affairs and we congratulate our winners, most notably Weber Shandwick, ING and Parker & Partners – who took the top awards in public affairs and government relations. To view a full library of photos of the event click here or to watch President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono accept The Gold Standard in Political Communications award click here.

With a judging panel of senior figures, the programme is delivering insight and best practice to a wide audience in Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States. The awards sought nominations from Asian bodies engaged globally and from international organisations active in spheres including stakeholder engagement, crisis communications, government relations, trade promotion, sustainability and transparency.

We would like to thank all our sponsors, entrants and judges, and encourage you to start planning your entries for the 2010 awards – with nominations opening on August 1, 2010.
